This collection forms a component of the Department of Special Collections' African American History Collection. Materials in the collection include: internal staff documents, resolutions, minutes, and a memorandum. Most of the records deal with the planning of the Poor People's Campaign and it's corresponding march in Washington, D.C. (June 19, 1968). The collection also contains records that illustrate the evolution of the SCLC's position on the Vietnam War during the years of 1965 and 1966.
